WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to the release of the bipartisan House Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump's final report, Rep. Pat Fallon (TX-04) commented:
"Today, our bipartisan House Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump released its final report, providing a comprehensive analysis of the astonishing failures by the United States Secret Service (USSS) during the July 13 rally in Butler, PA, that nearly resulted in the death of then-presidential candidate, Donald Trump. The tragic events that unfolded that day, which also took the life of innocent patriot Corey Comperatore, have raised serious concerns about the elite agency's ability to fulfill its zero-fail mission."
"After our nearly five-month-long investigation where we had the opportunity to speak with personnel from local, state, and federal agencies, the level of transparency by USSS leadership still leaves much to be desired," said Rep. Fallon. "Our report identifies a series of catastrophic failures in planning, execution, and leadership, while offering 37 specific recommendations to prevent such an incident from ever happening again. We hope that this constructive criticism is not taken lightly, and that we will see serious changes in culture and methodology within the agency."
