Rep. Fallon Statement on the Death of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Sicknick

Representative Pat Fallon (TX-04) today released the following statement on word of the death of United States Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick.

“My heart breaks for the family of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, may he rest in peace.  My prayers and those of my staff are with his family at this difficult time,” said Fallon.

“What happened on January 6th was a tragedy that never should have happened and cannot be allowed to happen again.  The idea that a mob would storm the seat of American government while we are deliberating on the nation’s business is beyond the pale.  The Capitol Police are brave professionals and should know, now more than ever, that they have the full support of every member of Congress.”

Pat Fallon previously served in the Texas State Senate representing the 30th Senate District.  Texas’ Fourth Congressional District covers 18 counties across Northeastern Texas, including Bowie, Camp, Cass, Collin, Delta, Fannin, Franklin, Grayson, Hopkins, Hunt, Lamar, Marion, Morris, Rains, Red River, Rockwall, Titus, and Upshur.
