Rep. Fallon Leads Letter to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth & Secretary of State Marco Rubio

Washington, DC --  Rep Pat Fallon (TX-04) led a letter on Tuesday to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio urging them to make U.S. bases in Eastern Europe permanent in the interest of regional security. Rep. Fallon commented:

"President Trump has made peace through strength a cornerstone of his foreign policy. Prior erosion of U.S. hard power has created power vacuums that Russia and China seek to exploit as a means to undermine the West. Therefore, permanent U.S. bases in Eastern Europe would be a key factor in ensuring regional security. By strengthening our posture in Eastern Europe, we can deter future Russian aggression and stop the next war before it starts."

Also signed on to the letter are Reps. Mike Turner (OH-10), Dan Crenshaw (TX-02), Jen Kiggans (VA-02), and Claudia Tenney (NY-24).
